Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

Well, we can put it in brass tax terms, I suppose. During the hours I can play flight sims with friends, the number of people playing on many DCS or Great Battles servers dwarfs the number of people on all the CLoD servers put together. So in the end it doesn't even matter if CloD is better, worse, ...

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

The trucks are still going haywire at multiple points on a perfectly straight section of road. They also appear to handle the turn onto a different road as bad or worse than stock game. This is not an issue that affects convoys we deploy in DCS. Unsure about Great Battles. Over time, it may show tha...

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

I say punish because we all know that if tfs doesnt continue, thats it for this type of flight sim for a very long time. Pack up and go home theres nothing else out there, dcs and box are not serious alternatives. This is an attitude that appears to have been cultivated over the last 5 to 10 years ...

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

I think its very dramatic to say that a few bugs still being present constitutes "false advertising", annoying? definitely. But somehow indicative of malicious false advertising? come on... Like i said earlier in the thread, this is not ea games pumping out piles of shit with enormous budgets. I wa...

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

One of the reasons, but guaranteed not the only reason, is that you get things like this (words are ATAG Pattle's): Updates for Core and Blitz 5.0 ... *** AI: Vehicle spacing increased. The BestSpace value for all ground vehicles was too small (two lengths) and has been doubled. This results in fewe...

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

From the looks of it number wise, via Steam Charts, it seems like Tobruk probably sold to roughly 500 to 750 users total (trying to err on the positive side there). Looking like the same user progression path that occurred after the 'Blitz' launch as numbers have steadily dropped since Tobruk came o...

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

That's my unbiased opinion. Wherever you believe it is up to you. Thanks Biggs. That's good info. My other question would be has anyone tried engaging a full flight of AI (say 12 109s) in a multiplayer environment where your flight is composed entirely of players. I think that's where the AI train ...

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

Question for those who have it:

Has the 'all dogs on one bone' AI issue been fixed? Where the first enemy aircraft the AI flight sees is the only one they go after? Basically, do AI fighters evaluate potential threats and target opportunities better?

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

After reading as many comments here and on other forums I think I'll give this a pass for now. I never had a problem with original CloD when I was into it (I don't really have a 'best flight model' cross to bear or anything), but I needed more in terms of capability from this mod to get me back in. ...

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

Hei Reddod and Wolverine. Now there's some names I haven't seen in a while. :) Oh I've always been lurking in some manner :D Question for those who have made the purchase. Do the new aircraft feel different enough and appealing enough that it will support more variety? The Wellington, if done well,...
