BMS debrief

Post by Redeye » Mon Nov 07, 2016 9:39 pm

New thread to discuss missions played.

A good, although a bit hasty mission today:D

Did not get time to set threats and check loadout appaerently, as I closed in for a fox 2 kill only to find that nothing was happening:)

Good fights over the target, both me and Sokka got our fair share. I got scrapped in the end, but at least I took 3 mig-21's with me. (Still annoying as hell)

Hope the strike went good- nice flying as always:)

We got back alright. I was on fumes and empty stores so the taxpayers got value for money at least. Unlucky about that last MIG.

quick recap of our first try with dickies new server on saturday: attempted two missions, server crashed two times. troubleshooting in progress, falcon and myself will be putting in work to get it to work properly. opertaions up to the server crash went smoothly though, no lags or IVC issues. "operation tweak & tune" is underway!

p.s: testing personell always welcome.

I'm sure we can help you Rowns. Go to the BMS forum and get up to the latest version. Read the instructions word for word, and get up to version u2.

Also, youtube videos are great to get things tested and sorted:)

Friday testing session (unfortunately still not with acg dedicated Server):
2 2-ship STRIKE flights against a Tank and supply Bataillon. Enphasis on procedures, outcome less Important. Nevetheless, bombs hit targets, no losses!
SCREENS: http://aircombatgroup.co.uk/forum/viewt ... &start=240

Positives:
-First flight (i remember) with working IVC for all paricipants :lux:
-Sokkas fps Problems fixed (hopefully for good)
-First steps in close Formation flying
-More than 50% of weapons on Target
-no Server-based issues

Negatives:
-IVC Volume very low for some paricipants
-still some light technical difficulties with some paricipants (no Data Link, dropping in and out before TO,...)
-not all Pilots finished mission
-Server ctd shortly After entering debrief screen (no effects in outcome or points though)

Summary: good step towards becoming issue-free and following a procedure routine. Still, long Way to go..

Yes more positives than drawbacks.
My ideas
- IVC volume : is there any settings we don't know for IVC ingame volume ?
- For the datalinks PB and all others we had'nt seen, I'm nearly sure that Balkans theater is too heavy for a multiplayer campaign game with more thnan 2 players.
I know this is the most beautifull and interresting theater, but with a home hosted game I think we will allways have issues. We have to test with ACG server.
Even if it's less "glamourous" self made tactical engagement need far less computer ressources than a campaign, for a big mission with more than 4 player ilt could be a solution to avoid PBs. I know we have to make it and it takes time, and I'm the first to say I don't have it.
These are only my ideas, not sure I'm right ;) .

For the flight, if I had undestood what my Jeddi-jetpilot master said to me, flying bellow 300 kts is increasing our angle of attack and our drag and then our fuel cosumption without any gain.
