Eduard 1/48 109 E1 5/.JG26

So started this build along while ago and just finished it today. Its one of two from the Eduard Adlerangriff special edition dual combo set.Image

Nicely detailed kit lots of Pe with resin wheels and a resin figure of Galland that i haven't painted yet.

The plane is Painted in the scheme of Lt Hans Krug from 5./JG26 flying out of Marquise in July 1940.

It carries the Bull fighting motto used by a pilot he flew beside in the Spanish civil war. "Vista Suerte Y Al Toro" which means The loook, good fortune and forward.

Image

Image
He took over command of 4./JG26 and was shot down over Britain on September the 7th 1940 belly laning and being taken PoW.

Image

Painted using mr colour Aqeuos range rlm 02, rlm 65 and rlm 71. Used a Tamiya black base with vallejo white over the top to try and get some colour modulation, which doesn't show up that well in the pictures. Weathered using Hataka aluminium and Tamiya Smoke paints and Ammo washes.

Those RLM colours send a burst of serotonin straight to the ol' noggin.

Top job.

I love it, congrats.
which doesn't show up that well in the pictures.
Same for me, preshading or other modulations, I never caught them properly with pictures.

Wonderful work. Have to admit, I prefer some of the Luftwaffe schemes over RAF.

Awe-inspiring work. It's sure to be a show winner. Eduard makes some excellent kits, especially their Profi-Pack kits that have everything in the box to build a great-looking kit.
