Hi Ginger,
It is a great kit and is easier to build in terms of parts and the fit . Such a great plane look forward to seeing your build mate.

I've started mine now .
I wanted the flaps down so I've cut them out of the wings... a decision I may regret.

Have not started it yet but will do soon, once i do i'll will update with picture's. I'am not going to bother with internal detail it's all about turning it into GZ_O with the boars head nose art on. Bonking are you going to use after market Flaps?

I didn't know there were any. I just went in and cut them out... but then realised that to put them in the down position will need quite a bit of work. Firstly the upper wing needs thinning out a lot where the flap has been removed. Then it will need filling appropriately. The flaps themselves will need to have a curve fitted to them.Ginger wrote:Bonking are you going to use after market Flaps?
As for the wheel wells... well they are going to need a lot of work as well.
Considering that I'm coming back to the hobby after some 30+ years and the fact that I've never done any scratch building, you may well begin to understand why I may be regretting my course of action.
BTW... perhaps stupidly I'm also considering drilling out the exhausts:

Nice instrument panel to add

Not much else to add detail wise, which is unusual (but less expensive on the wallet)
There are a few decal sheets with Staffels we use but not very many.
Look forward to seeing how it develops Bonks

Making short work of GZ_O
The kit is going together well, to say how many people have said there's fit problems, mind you i'am not fitting the engine in so i was able to glue all the cowl covers down which helps. The pictures are the model as built so far, no filler used yet.
