Norfolk Antiques .......

Post by Nails » Sun Jul 02, 2017 3:57 pm

I had to work away last week. Came across this during an afternoon off, and couldn't resist paying a few shekels for it.

I think it might be close to 1:24, or a bit bigger. It's made out of aluminium.

Now, where to put it?

Even though it's not the mighty beast that is the Hurricane , I must admit it's a thing of beauty, is it a one off or can you buy others? :nice:

Very nice Nails :nice:

I remember seeing a similar model at the shop at Duxford I think it was - but can't remember if it's the same or not. I'll have a dig, in case I took a photo.

Very nice. Like Bunny I do recall seeing similar before. Whether Duxford or somewhere else I'm not sure.

Aye - checked but no photos by the looks of it. I'm pretty certain they had one very similar in the window at Duxford because I drooled over it. Thinking about it, I think Pariah and Broady were also there looking around too.

If it's the same, it wasn't cheap, but the details was gorgeous!

It does look similar, but I can't remember exactly. Was a nice bit of kit certainly, and if anything this one looks even nicer.

I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.
