Lagg-3 ICM 1/48

Post by Secu » Sat Mar 10, 2018 4:47 pm

Hi guys

My new build, a kind of celebration of BoX arrival. Not an easy kit I do not recommend it to beginners.
But with care and work it looks nice.
You notice that I change from 1/72 to 1/48, it's a test and I think more will come.

Lovely work Secu. My only criticism is that you've made it look a bit too good - it doesn't fill me with despair the same way sitting in it in BoX does :lol:

I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

But back on topic - beautiful work Secu, as ever.

Great build, Secu. You do damn good work. Think we might ever get to see your entire collection?

Sorry Broady, but russian mechanics were better than we think, and don't forget that into at least one squadron the technical officer were sent to the Goulag because they were too much aircrafts out of order :shock: .
By the way the original looked pretty clean, this is a link with the storry of that particular plane.

Excellent - those first four pics are far more in line with my initial experiences in the LaGG :lol:

I didn't read the text, but I'm assuming from the images that the pilot taxied a bit too fast and went into a ground loop?

Shot down by Finnish AA. It also says 'The landing was good; the pilot survived, but shot himself before being captured.' :shock:
