No.29 were back in the air last night.
The demise of Cpt Archibald 'Pariah' Baldwin. Killed by the rear gunner of a DFW. 03-06-16
Lt Angus 'Secu' Lond leads the boys back, flare gun in hand. 03-06-16
Lt Chandler 'Boyezee' Lave limped back injured but walked away from this.
The next mission we successfully downed an enemy balloon. No photos of that but I do have this one of White 2, Lt Chandler 'Boyezee' Lave keeping good formation with me on our way home.

Major Verschoyle Byford Septimus 'Meaks' Meaker VC,MM,DFC & Bar,DSO & Bar and MC and Bar,preparing to take off in his Handley Page 0/400.
At this stage of take off,the anchors have been discarded out of the cockpit,the throttles are well up,the mixture is on maximum rich,the touch paper has been lit,and the ground crew have been warned to stand well back !
Side note : I always thought the Blenheim required a long run up,but this ' thing ' requires the full extent of Flanders fields to get airborne when fully laiden.It was realised after several attempts to get off the ground,that it would be beneficial for one's medals and decorations be left at the mess,as the extra weight impeded take off

So I was playing around with an offline career tonight. Started with No.24 squadron in an Airco DH2 in July of 1916. Hit by archie whilst attacking a balloon. I just heard a boom and I was dead.
I've also re-enabled so the graphics mods I use to see how pretty it is over stock. I'd say so:

Re: Rise of Flight Screenshots
Couple of pictures taken after my deadstick landing last Monday - as you can see, the 'adjustments' made to my airframe by the Boche gunners have reduced my overall weight whilst also reducing wind-resistance. Overall I'm happy with the improvements, but have noted that with my new sieve-like cockpit the wind does rather whistle round the old nether regions, if you see what I mean. Think I'll need an extra thick application of whale-oil to the privates for the next sortie...
I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

Excellent photos there Broadsword. We'll get those holes filled in before the next sortie.
