Thoughs on Campaign-ing

Post by Menace » Fri Aug 11, 2017 12:50 am

Heyo chaps,

Posting here, coz, well, greens like me can't really post anywhere else.
This may have been brought up before, but hey, it's me, Menace. I'm a repeat offender.

What are your thoughts on running a dynamic campaign rather than repeating the scripted one over an over and over again?
Dynamic meaning, the frontlines would be able to shift according to counted statistics and victories and whatnot. It would be up to Thaine (as always :praise: ) in order to get the system working and all, but I think it would be a pretty neat idea.

It would actually make pilots want to perform better in order to achieve a greater goal, rather than flying, knowing (if you were German) that you'd end up losing anyways. Plus, it'd be better for goal setting instead of your usual grind for the medals. Eh?

Sumfin to think about?

I think that's called storm of war or tactical air war. We do something different here.

I'd prefer it Menance. But it is what it is here and I don't think it will ever change.

A fair suggestion, but like mentioned above, there are groups dedicated to just that. This is about historical reenactment.

With a pilot logbook with statistics, the lives of squadron mates, honouring the true pilots you mimick, etc there should be plenty of motivation for trying to do well in campaigns.

Do you like getting yo ass whooped? No? Then that should be all the motivation you need to do well.

Asset and attrition will become part of campaign in the future I hope, we are looking deeper into the data of asset destruction on the public server and will learn lessons from this. We shall always follow history so Germany will never win the war but may win the day.
