Virpil/VKB

Post by Von Archie » Sun Dec 24, 2017 5:46 pm

Anyone been mad enough to buy either a Virpil T-50 or the VKB stick? Serious prices but high end stuff. I still use a decade old CH stick and feel like it's time for an upgrade...

Thrustmaster Warthog still reigns supreme in terms of quality.

I dunno the VKB stuff looks incredible. I want a gunfighter with the metal gimble.

Yes both the virpil and the vkb stuff have a metal gimbal which is seen as a step above the warthog. More expensive obviously. Trying to convince myself that I don't want one.

Archie me hearty. As you well know (and ask Maltloaf about this).

If you want quality gear for these Sims of ours, you have to pay top dollar.

Just look at the money gamers invest in their racing setups! Next step for me will be a motion platform.

Cheers Paddy. I'm veering more to the Virpil Mongoose just now, as availability seems better than the vkb, and I like virpils desk mount.
I want to get a set of Crosswinds too to replace my ch pedals so am debating what to get first!

Ah sod it, ordered the virpil stick, bracket and extension set as well. The VKB stuff always seems to be out of stock.
