Though some of you may be interested in this. It's a flight yoke that I've made. It mostly just plumbing and electrical parts and bits of metal I've acquired from various building sites. It's got a Bodnar board in it and has hall sensors to track the axis's, and motorcycle kill switches for buttons. It really wasn't complicated to make. I haven't documented building it very well but I've got some photos of various stages of construction so I'll find them and post them here if anyone's interested. Next project is new throttles made from a lawnmower throttles.
Cheers

Nice
I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

Next project: hydrogen bomb made of pop cans and firecrackers.

Nice work.
Re: Homemade flight yoke
Yeah its' heavy if I had to guess id say about 30kgs. Only because the base is steel plate and unistrut which is where the weight is. The main post is aluminium box section so weighs next to nothing. I don't plan on moving it about much so its not really an issue.Ullski wrote:Nice one, Passion!

This is the base which in hindsight is overengineered for what it is and heavy. But I had some unstrut laying around so it got used.
