Sharpe, if you're in West Sussex, I'm just down the road from you near Southampton. Flew with a few of the 615 guys tonight who were very welcoming, but still a lot to learn as I am effectively a complete beginner. Will try to get on again tomorrow but I can't fix timings due to domestic issues, and it will probably be late evening. Thanks for the offer of help though - much appreciated!

Hi Chaps
Is there someone that wants to test there patience.I live in Rep of Ire and I am kind of new to flight sims and very new to CoD. I would love some training in a hurricane. I have spent my 1st couple of hours on CoD crashing and burning, now and again getting into the air only to get lost, and as yet not even close to landing. If there is someone out there, please PM me before Thursday as I would like a chat about getting on the server and everything as I have never done it before. Tiger Ed

I'd help, but I'm going on vacation. If you are still having trouble though when I return I'll be happy to straighten out any problems you have.

Salute Gentlemen,
It's been 6 or 7 years since my last virtual flight. That was with RAF662 CFS.
Been doing some Virtual Golfing.
Just installed Cliffs of Dover,
I dug out my old Saitek X52 only to find it is not working under windows 10. All the lights come on ok.
But i cant lock in any commands.
Before doing any retraining I need to get some off line flying practice in.
I am hoping that one of you fine pilots will tell me NOT to cast my old X52 controller away because you know the fix for it.(Fingers crossed)
If it cant be fixed' I'm asking for your kind a recommendation for a new controller.

A bit about myself.
78 years old (Still a Boy at heart.
Married to a gr8 wife called Jane.
Served 26 years in the army.
was selfe employd until i was 70 years old.
Disabled now so hard to get out and about.
Love crusing and try to get 3 cruses in each year.
Thank you in advance for any help given. (S)

Aubrey, are you attempting to use the Saitek software to bind your keys? If so do not. Only use the in-game bindings. I have the x52 and have no problems with it. I cannot comment specifically on what the problem might be but hopefully one of the other gentlemen around here can.
More vodka Comrade!

Hi Hotlunch, Thank you for your quick response to my post.
I have been slow in answering in case some other Member of ACG had something to add to your post.
Still got a problem with Cliffs and X52. It is working fine in FSX.
I'll continue to work on the problem.
I'm a bit scared of the Instructor in the training mission! Between you and me he's a bad tempered so and so. LOL

Aubrey,
I also use the x52 pro... as mentioned above ... use the in game control setting feature . Do one page at a time ( in the beginning ) and then ' save " . A windows window then comes up . I save my settings in the configUser.ini file . Double click on it and then hit 'save' ( write over ) then apply ( bottom right on control page). Then on to the next setting . If you end up doing it a thousand times like I have , you can progress to doing a page at a time ..
DID I MENTION TO SAVE THE DEFAULT confiUser.ini ?????

Hi guys,
Apparently I need to be proficient in the hurricane or German aircraft as that is where the slots are.
If I am asked I would prefer the hurricane and I can start it and take off okish. Not to good at landing bit hit and miss and would love some combat training. Also my nav isn't great.
I have family over at the moment so could be available from Thurs evening onwards and even during the day from Friday onwards.
Hope someone can assist
Thank you.
Never abandon the possibility of attack. Attack even from a position of inferiority, to disrupt the enemy's plans. This often results in improving one's own position.
