New recruit wishing to join
Hello everybody,
Happy to join the forum - I was invited by No.501_Steph to share the excellent friendship I already experienced in Duxford last July, where I had the pleasure to meet some of you at the curry in Bishop's Stortford.
Aged 65, my father was in Dunkirk and, of course, a veteran of BoF and '44/'45 campaign in Germany and I spent many years living by a French Airbase as a teenager. This can explain my keen interest in WWII, aviation and aircraft, and especially warbirds.
I would like to join the RAF, if possible flying Hurricanes, and why not, with my son in No.501.
I must admit that my timetable is quite busy, but I'll make my best in joining the group for as many campaign mission as I can, if you accept me in the Group.
Anyway I look forward to flying with you and enjoying WWII air battles reenactment.
Cheers !!
Parrot.

Welcome aboard, Parrot Always good to see new recruits arriving
I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

Hey Ginger! We may not be able to make it tonight with Parrot as we are currently at a family reunion and dealing with some RL stuff that will keep us away from the PC...Ginger wrote:Hi Parrot, look forward to sharing the skies above blighty with you mate, join us Team speak at 1845 Sunday and we will get you sorted.
We'll come to the weekly turn and burn on Thursday I think!
