Are those 110's on the horizon?

Post by Bonkin » Mon Jan 25, 2016 9:52 pm

Thought I'd share some screenshots of ZG76 in action last night... we were passing the time talking about cricket when somebody spotted aircraft on the horizon...

You dirty rotters!

Luckily Broadie managed to jump on a Lewis gun and pop some rounds into one of you!

Excellent snapshots. I was wondering how the 110s got so many kills last night. ;)

May today be better than yesterday, but, not as good as tomorrow.

I love those pictures, Those planes looks a lot better when they are on the ground, with parts missing and damadge on their fuselage or when they explode.

Thank you sir, lovely pics, I wondered why you weren't taking off, but by the looks of it you had no serviceable aircraft left after our second pass.

Bloody rotters, as I said so in at the time. All good fun and it was certainly an experience to go through.

Erm, we didn't take off because we were ordered not to. We saw you coming over the trees and could have been zipping across the field by the time you reached us but were ordered to stay put. Apparently the idea was that we weren't really in our planes but were sitting around in deckchairs when you hove into view, so we should have been diving for cover rather than taking off :lol: All part of the fun I guess, and I must say your ground attack was very effective. Good stuff :nice:

I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

Brilliant! If only we *could* sit in our deckchairs at readiness in Cliffs, it would really add to the immersion. Imagine seeing that happen in front of you, trying to steady your G&T whilst the enemy strafe your kites. Splendid stuff.
