As many know that fly with me on DCS the Mi-8 is my favorite helicopter in the world. I've had the pleasure to fly in them in real life & in DCS. The Russians are very proud of the Mi-8 so they made some great documentaries!

Part I:

Part II:

There are around 15 of these documentaries on Soviet designed aircraft. Prejudices aside they are a fantastic watch :)

Nice one Toxic. An impressive machine that Mi8.

Here's some documentaries of an impressive interceptor, a rocket with wings: The F104 Starfighter.
I hope this one makes it into a DCS-module one day.

The Widowmaker.
Erich Hartmann, the world's top-scoring fighter ace, commanded one of Germany's first (post-war) jet fighter-equipped squadrons[57] and deemed the F-104 to be an unsafe aircraft with poor handling characteristics for aerial combat. To the dismay of his superiors, Hartmann judged the fighter unfit for Luftwaffe use even before its introduction

270 of almost 635 Luftwaffe Starfighters were lost in accidents during the aircraft's time in service, which lasted from the early 1960s until the mid-1980s.

A track from the record 'Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters' by Robert Calvert went as follows:

"Do you want to buy a Starfighter?"

"Well buy an acre of land and wait............."
