American gun-cam footage and at one point the pilot strafes a parachute.

BTW this isn't a jab at American pilots, just some evidence to show that shooting at parachuting pilots wasn't completely unheard of.

There's even documented cases of both VVS and LW parachuted pilots firing at each other with sidearms whilst still hanging in their chutes.

When they ran out of ammo did they throw their weapons, gloves, boots and unwanted children at each other?

Had a 109 chap ground dart, diving on my chute, after I bailed on ACG BoX. LMAO. Btw., he missed me :mrgreen:
