Mission builders, a question about FMB performance

Post by Flyby » Mon Dec 18, 2017 8:44 pm

Have you (who do so) had any issues with the Full Mission Builder? Of course I ask because I have had issues, from my Object Viewer selection being changed to actually deleting various parts of multiplayer mission(s). I've deleted, and reinstalled 4.5 several times, cleaned the registry of Blitz entries each time. I moved my one and only multiplayer mission over from 4.312 where it worked (I was able to read the briefing, choose my spawn point, and spawn into the separate schwarm locations I'd created) to 4.5 where it became dysfunctional. I remade the same mission in 4.5, renaming it, and it appeared along with the old mission name which I had deleted from the missions file. I've filed four separate issues in TF's bug tracker section. I've also made several single missions, and they run fine so far as I can see. I'd made the last of those up to about three weeks before 4.5 was released.

So, am I the Lone Arranger or what?

I'm around on Wednesday during the day time so can possibly setup a Team Viewer session and work through it with you?

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies. At this moment I've deleted the game (again), ran a registry check, then ran chkdsk on the install drive which indicated it was correcting some errors. I'm about to reinstall it. Stand by.

Well guys I've got to the point where I can test my multiplayer, selecting and spawning into one of three points I've set up. Even the runway placards are aligned correctly along the runway. But I still lack the knowledge of how to set up my PC to host the mission. Can you give me a steer on that? Wednesday is good for me too. I'm five hours behind BST, if that helps ( I know; Yanks always behind the curve!)

Flyby the first thing you need to host is, to have your ports open! you will need to find out how to "port forward" your router if you don't already know? Every make is a little different so do a google search.

Thanks for the steer Ginger,
I'll do a Google search on the subject. Can't learn too much about it.
