Historical Markings for VVS BoX Skins

Postby Gromic » Fri May 11, 2018 1:38 pm

Hi,

For those that are in the process of skinning for the new platform, I found an interesting link on soviet markings. The original URL is in russian but the link below is translated via google.

https://translate.google.com/translate? ... ah-i-migah

Finally, a number template with the correct font.

Gromic, do you know the name of that font? Or would you like to use Miki's?

I've been looking a lot around to find some fonts for russian numbers, and this case in particular, but without success...

I'd be more than happy if someone find some.

I'd also like to use a "true" font for lettering. Makes placement and manipulation easier. Found something here that looks the part a bit:

http://www.fontspace.com/kiwi-media/chyelovek wrote:This is a font based on the block-print style typeface commonly found on eastern-bloc propaganda posters throughout the 1930’s and 40’s. It has been adapted for the Roman alphabet (the original was predominantly Cyrillic).
