Well thanks to schneeman for twisting my arm a bit!

:salute:
My thanks to schneeman for dragging me back to BoS&M.
I've always thought the only 109 worth flying in the games current state is the E7, as by the way it flys and the devs own admission it's the only 109 with a finished model.
So Schneeman called me on it and we met today to fly E7's on wings of limitation server.
Must say it was quite a day!
In two hours we damaged or destroyed:
A yak-1
A mig-3
2 LA-5's
A PE-2
A P-40
And an IL-2. With an assist on another PE-2.

All this for only having to bail out once each over friendly lines, no pilot losses for either of us.

Have to say the E7 held her own very well! Schneeman was an excellent wingman and thanks to him for one of the best days hunting I've had in a long, long time!
Salute!

Got to say it's quite a fine machine, well on par with anything the bolsheviks have minus being a bit slow compared to the LA-5 and Mig.
And for some reason I can pull off snap shots in it that I can not in the CoD E4.
Here's hoping the fix the remaining 109s soon in BoS.
It would be fun for all us luftie types to pull a server raid in the larger servers. Decimate all and spread the jg26 tag around.

Thanks Dots. That was probably the most fun I have had flying that game. We worked well together, so I am looking forward to the next campaign. The E7 is a nice flying machine. We DID do pretty good. I think we surprised a few Russians too :)

It would be fun to get 6 or 8 of us and go decimate the red enemy sometime. :)

You KNOW the Yak and the mig that showed up in our first sortie we're laughing when they saw 2 109E7 at 5k-till we shot em down!
But yes it certainly seemed they underestimated the ol' E7!
But we played it right-we fought on our terms, didn't get suckered into fighting on their terms and we didn't go venturing out deep into enemy territory. We fought smart and let the Russian come to us.
Great flying today bro!

We try to post when we are going to fly outside of official missions, but we are both PST so it doesn't line up with a lot of people here.

Where have they said that? Just curious.

I think it was DD120?
Acknowledged that the 109 E7 was the only finished 109, and that its characteristics would be added to the rest of the 109s.

Edit: Yep, DD120 under regular tasks part 9;
"9. Correct 'jumpy' behavior of Bf 109 F4, G2 and F2 to resemble E7 behavior and check other planes"
