Looks like some relief from the endless steppes is near to hand.

Looks incredible. Stunning.

I was even more stunned by how balanced his rudder trim was throughout the spiralling descent and steep turns.

Oh it might look like that Lofty, but the truth is that rudder trim in this game means fuck all. You can leave it on default as you fly and your slip indicator will stay the same (more or less) throughout the flight. WarThunder remastered™.

The terrain looks fantastic though. Interesting that they are flying over the good old "DCS" map, with a quality that I don't think we can expect even for the coming update. BoX is looking better and better.

I really don't get it. They're still using low-resolution textures. Are you blind guys? Did anyone look at those pics at the original resolution?
The terrain is looking like when you set low settings in CloD. In 2017. Old il2 1946 can use textures of higher resolution.

I think this is a situation where the result is more than the sum of the parts. The ground textures are not exactly high res, true enough, but the terrain still looks good, especially when flying over it.

I've always said that if a developer can improve the game play experience at the expense of some visual splendor, then I'd rather have the game play. We'll see if they can manage it. I'm still not entirely sold on it, but BoX has been steadily improving and in a consistent and organized way.
