Christ!! Flew Kuban in VR... didn't want to take it off!! Absolutely epic. Exemplified by shooting down 5 in a flight I'm sure - But Kuban seems to handle VR without a hitch compared to the other maps :/

But you might find that effectively the answer is no, because BoM aircraft in that setting are obsolete and may not be available. The server operator would have to be using one of the planes you own in order to fly it. Well, installed and played around for a few minutes, just need to set the controls up. After being used to Cliffs it's a pia by the looks of it.

Bought the Kuban for the map and Spitfire... stayed for everything else. I'm not a huge fan of the setting but there's no denying Kuban is an incredible map. It beats the snot out of DCS's version of the Caucuses (at least in 1.5), and flying the Spit around in it is pure joy. Though I find half the time I'm delegated to Yak-1s, at least in Wings of Shitty.
Spotting is still a huge problem for me. I freely admit that I'm shit at it to start with it, but BoX spotting is rough.

Miek, come to the dark side on Random Expert! We got E7s 
I also bought Kuban for the pretty visuals and the Spit and stayed for everything else. The summer version of Kuban completely tanks my machine though... I love the Winter maps on Random Expert and navigation is a bit of a pain, but very rewarding if you do it right.
Very enjoyable up to now.
