Downloaded it today. Only had 10 mins to give it a ago but I was very impressed. Clod has never run smoothly for me but this is really smooth and the visuals look great. Looking forward to seeing what the FM's are like.

I picked up BoM and the P40. I just need to get the hang of the P40 as I keep blowing the engine. Damn it does look and fly good though.

Set prop pitch to 70%, keep the engine in Continuous mode (40 on the manifold IIRC), combat power is EXTREMELY limited, and emergency power even more so.

I think the real engine could take quite a bit more flogging. The Americans tended to under express the engine capabilities from what I've heard.

Probably as a longevity measure I should think. Either way the P-40 is one of my most favorite birds in BoX, and I promise she is more than capable.

The P-40 is great. Guns are devastating and she rolls like a crazy motherfucker.

Is there a way of getting rid of all the pop up windows for your engine etc?

I believe you can disable them in your settings. Alternatively you could press H, I think it is, which toggles all pop-ups entirely.

This is correct. I nuked them ages ago, and only have things like messages on throttle position, radiator position, etc now showing. Otherwise you get retarded messages about raising the landing gear in the stuka, for example. None of us here need those messages anyway.
