Fly-in Tomorrow

Post by Shadepiece » Sat Mar 10, 2018 2:48 pm

Hey guys,

There hasn't been anything put together this week for either sim, and thought it might be a good opportunity to pack a bunch of us into the public server tomorrow. This would give me an opportunity to see how all the new objectives, and placement of things is going. I have done quite a bit of work over the last week on the public mission, and I think you gents might be excited by the prospect of...

- An increased, and more versatile plane set at each airfield with increased plane pool.
- Moving trains! They follow a route marked on the briefing map, and you must find and destroy them along their route.
- Moving convoys which need to be found and destroyed.
- A german tank platoon that actually travels a route and then attacks a defensive position.
- Plenty of other more static targets that should indeed prove interesting to find and destroy.

If this sounds interesting to you I think this would be a good opportunity for us to get some data for our stats system which, thanks to Donkey, is well underway for giving us a good readout on our sorties.

The way I would like to organize this is to get everyone together tomorrow at normal campaign time. We'll split everyone who wants to fly evenly between both sides. At that point each side should coordinate their plans. You will have to coordinate escort for ground attackers, the ground attackers themselves, fighter cover for your objectives, and possibly scouts to find the moving objectives. Once were all sorted in TS I'll start the server, and we'll see which side can pull out a victory!

If you guys are interested you can post below, or show up tomorrow in TS at *1930GMT. This event is open to non-members so feel free to bring in any folks who would like to give our public server a go!

Cheers!

Recommend pushing it back 30 minutes or so as there's a staff meeting on at 1800.

Duly noted, staff meetings have a tendency to run long, so good idea. Time will be 1930GMT.
