The future is indeed DCS for combat simming (However long it might take)

The explosions and clouds are high on the to-do list of ED and will hopefullty surface in the not so far future. The WW2 aircraft damage models are currently being revised, and if I remember correctly- people who worked on the DM model of CLiffs is now in on this.

Anyway- good luck on getting familiar in DCS and holler if you want some company flying around:)

Cheers Redeye. I've just taken the F-15 for a spin around Nevada and I have to say it does look awesome. I was quite pleased with my first landing too, a bit heavy but no damage done... coming to a stop was more of a problem because I had no idea what keys the wheel brakes were mapped to. I managed to skid around on two wheels until the energy ran out.

It certainly does feel like a steep learning curve... and that just learning how to fly it properly would be enough without even having to contend with the weapon and defensive aids subsystems.

Yeah- the Eagle is an excellent way to get started. Awesome power, stable platform and a good reach. It takes a while to get into the mindset- but when you take off with a wingman on a combat air patrol, shoot down a Flanker or two, and then come back to base and do overhead breaks- it's hard to beat:D

I had been telling Hitler for over a year, since my first flight in an Me-262, that only Focke Wulf Fw-190 fighter production should continue in conventional aircraft, to discontinue the Me-109, which was outdated, and to focus on building a massive jet-fighter force. - Galland

I've been flying the P51 and Me109 ind DCS online. All I can say is wow. Can't wait for the WW2 World and Spitfire. If/when a Me262 is added (official or user mod), I know where my time will be spent.

Glad work is progressing but I don't like the uniformity or the colour of the trees.

IF this is the kind stuff we're complaining about, we're in for a hell of a ride :fap:

It looks fucking incredible. DCS is always a high (and low) off the week- seeing new stuff- then realising I can't get my hands on it. (I agree about the trees- and I actually commented about it before- I would not worry though- still a while off and each screenshot looks better and better)
