OVGEM?

I have a personal soundpack for the Spit, but I'll only share it by PM, as it borrows from a number of sources. I will also compile skins and some mods. I'll be talking to IronJ about this.

OVGEM is the "newer" JSGME since that mod manager is no longer supported by its developers. Found it on ED forums here
https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=171956

But you've answered my question. Guess I'll be taking the plunge ;)

Anyway, have an issue to fix with DCS and virtual resolutions using two screens first.

I still run the trusty old JSGME:) Many mods are usable on mulitplayer, some are not. Persoanlly, I mark them all accordingly. Most sound mods work fine in multiplayer:)

I cant seem to install the map and assets pack on the module manager even though the simbol for it shows on the bottom with all the other simbols like the P51 etc. BTW It is updated to 2.1.

Any help would be much appreciated, Johnny :salute:

Elos walked me through this :B:
Look here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 at how to use cmd to get to the Bin folder of your DCS 2.1/DCS World 2 open alpha folder.

Then enter in that cmd window the follwing:
dcs_updater.exe install NORMANDY_terrain

This will download and install the Normandy map. Depending on the torrent situation the download can take from half an hour to many hours. Afterwards start DCS 2.1/DCS World 2 open alpha and enter your Normandy serial key via the module manager.

Now use cmd to enter in that same bin folder:
dcs_updater.exe install WWII-ARMOUR

This will dowload and install the asset pack. When you first open DCS 2.1/DCS World 2 open alpha hereafter you will be automatically prompted to enter the serial key.

Afterwards, get in a plane and enjoy the awesome scenery :nice:

People are genereally experiencing major FPS drops, both in Normandy and NTTR. Beeing an alpha- this is off course expected (It was the same when NTTR was first released, and it ran buttersmooth up until now)

For people having trouble with FPS- there are 2 shadow options- turn them to FLAT ONLY and to FLAT. That, combined with diabling HDR, killing AA (Doing it through my GPU), and setting tree distance to 9K- gave me a bust between 15-20 FPS.

On my modest rig I now got 55+- frames running at treetop level.

I also killed the 3d grass, because frankly I thought it looked like shit at the moment.

All in all- looking good and very promising, but lots of things are going to get tuned for the better over time (hopefully)
