I run at very high and get between 25 and 45 FPS depending on what is going on. Average is probably high 30s. Do get some pop up and texture issues etc..., but I really don't notice it if I'm honest. Very enjoyable game imho.

So I hear. I'm missing one of my pilots since KCD came out. He's probably too busy "stabbing" all the wenches in Bohemia and can't be bothered.Donkey wrote:Cheers bud. Fucking loving it, must say.

My specs:Thaine wrote:I'm really, really tempted by that game. But I'm uncertain if my PC will run it in an enjoyable way. Can the ones that played it tell me a bit about their system and experience with it? That would be very kind. Thank you.

Playing on very high, something is at ultra. And Im getting pretty stable FPS. 60-54-52 sometimes.
Couple tweaks: Turn V-sync off (in Nvidia control panel), also set your card to max power.
set your game to full screen.
Grass draw distance to 3
Dont forget to set your resolution to your monitor native resolution.
You can also cap your FPS: open console in game ~ (by default) and type this line : sys_maxfps = 60 or 30 (your fps will not go over this number)
Steam launch options: Depends on how much RAM you have. I use the one for 24GB RAM.
just right click in your steam library, properties, set launch options and paste the one which suits your specs from below.
Without the " of course.
For example: -heapsize 3145728
4GB: “-heapsize 524288”
8GB: “-heapsize 1048576”
12GB: “-heapsize 1572864”
16GB: “-heapsize 2097152”
24GB: “-heapsize 3145728”
32GB: “-heapsize 4194304”
64GB: “-heapsize 8388608”
These are tweaks I found on some forums. Cant find the link tho.

Re: New super awesome medieval games coming out!
Bought it a week ago. I'm now just past the introductory quests. Living at sweet Theresa's uncle's mill atm. I followed the links and hints suggested and set the graphics and launch setting accordingly, and I get solid 40 - 60 frames.
The atmosphere of this game is awesome. There's several occasions that had me on the edge of my seat with chills running down my spine. I personally think the saving mechanisms are fine and add to the immersion and suspense. Loving that game.
