Someone have time.....

Post by Rowns » Wed Mar 02, 2016 9:06 pm

to learn me how to fly the bf109? I did get it starting yesterday and I did taxi it to the runway but after one min in the air my engine stoped. Also don't know how to fire the weapons.

When I get back home rowns il fly with you but make sure the prop pitch is on auto along wih the rads and if it is dont use full throttle I find that helps. And as for weapons you have to take the safety off its like shift spacebar I think

Thank you guys, I had the prop pitch on auto, I had it on manual and in a 12 o'clock position but I switched it back to auto after take off, I think it rads which I don't know in which position they should be. Also what about the primer pump I never pump because I don't think it does anything and the plane still starts without using it.

Oke I still don't know what I am doing wrong, I have the rads right, prop pitch also. But everytime after take off and when I give full trottle the engine is shaking and after that it shuts down.

If I remember correctly you could only push the throttle full forward with mw50 enabled. Whereas you'd need a warmed up engine to not kill it with the "wep" on

So this is what i do

Just before i taxi i open rads to AUF Full open
Put prop pitch to 12 o'clock
push auto prop and watch it go up to 1230 pitch.
Taxi and line up.
engage tail wheel lock
Hold breaks
Half Power
Release Breaks
Control planes nose gently tap break to keep center and hold stick back
apply power smoothly to hit combat power with is 2550-2600rpm and 1.45 ATA.
Do not go into Max power 1.8ATA, the engine will knock without wep. You dont need it for takeoff.
When reach 100kph apply some rudder to counter torque and at same time gently bring stick to neutral, plane should lift of its own.
Gears and flaps
Set Radiator to Auto

Note. I Trim the plane to take off with nose down to value 1.

Hope it helps...Practice :D
