NY Times just dropped this article today and it provides footage from a US F/A-18 Super Hornet. It is very odd and the pilots themselves express their concern and curiosity.

Pilots have been sighting UFOs since WW2, where they called them “Foo-Fighters”.

While i dont doubt some of these are real encounters with an unknown object, and many more are other natural occurrences or fakes; it seems to me incredulous some being able to reach the Earth from who knows where would just flit around and be a ghostly nuisance. I have a theory for what they are, but i dont think this is the place to discuss it.

Meanwhile, off to see SW-8 on Monday.

I agree. The chances of us being alone are vanishingly small. However, the chance of a civilisation advancing to the point where it is capable of interstellar travel may not be. Just looking at our own history - perhaps all life is condemned to be riven with warfare, violence and ultimately a high chance of self-destruction?
