Re: 109 or 190

109 Handles almost too well in a dogfight, the thing can just scrap and has the armament to boot. The 190 is a much smoother plane to fly in general with its huge control surfaces, but and absolute bitch manouvering under its optimal turning speeds. Snap wing stalls are common to a beginner. In shor...

Re: Historic Fighter Ops

Here is a little clip from a flight Coopes and I had a little while ago.

Can’t reccomend this group enough, great fun mixed in with serious flying. You’ll learn a lot and become a better pilot in the process :lecture: :B:

Re: New pilot reporting for cannon fodder!

Well I managed to get involved this Sunday with the great guys at No.615, and after throwing some shapes and manoeuvres to evade a string of diving 109's I was eventually blown out of the sky! Great fun and just what I expected for my debut as a rookie in the Battle of Britain. I'd like to try this ...

Re: New pilot reporting for cannon fodder!

Thanks for the kind words Blackdog! I'm not all too familiar with the 109 as I have less than fifty hours on CLOD as it is, mostly spent learning the Spitfire. Although after a quick go last night along with some awkward engine management (Not a clue in the 109) I could almost be swayed into conside...

Re: New pilot reporting for cannon fodder!

Well I popped on the public server and had a blast! Blackdog, Onebad and Sharpie where very welcoming, even had a few dogfights and got some helpful information about ACG and flying in general.

I hope to meet more of you guys on Sunday for the campaign, if not before! :D

Re: New pilot reporting for cannon fodder!

Thanks for the speedy response! Due to one off commitments I have this week/weekend I probably won't be online until Sunday evening, so I may have to wait for Monday before I get to know you lot; unless people stick around after campaign night for a natter? My work schedule also limits me to days I ...

New pilot reporting for cannon fodder!

Hi everyone! My name is Richard; I live in Yorkshire and i've been following this groups activity for a few months now thanks to Boyzee and his youtube videos, must say I like what I see and would love to be a part of this! I have been training on flying RAF aircraft for the past few days as I'd lov...
