Re: BoS VR

Well, that worked and I have the app downloaded. Great intro tutorial. It looks fantastic! Only problem now is, how do I get Il-2 to work on it? It's always amazing to me, how they don't tell you how to do the obvious.

Re: BoS VR

I guess the real issue for me is I have a hard time navigating intuitively around the PC, and I know there is a ton of stuff (some of it might be redundant info) I should delete, but I'd probably throw the baby out with the bath water, so I'm hesitant to start slashing. What I would like to know is...

many steam games, create a folder on your D drive then go into properties > local files > move install folder ...over. ....clear you some space. ... general stored files make folders for them on D. Re: BoS VR

Well... nothing is ever simple... I hit my first snag when I went to download the Oculus app. My casual computer management has left my C: drive maxed out, while my D: drive is practically empty. The app wants to download on C: , but my PC will not let me default to D: , nor will my PC give me a pat...

Re: BoS VR

its heeeeeeeeeeeere! My Oculus Rift S arrived here this evening. I will attempt to get it up and running tomorrow. I've never tried VR, so this will be the fist for me. I'll report my first impressions once I get it going. I hope that the set up won't be too difficult. wish me luck.

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

It's all very nice to have the African campaign, but I never liked the CoD flight model in the first place. No slight against you, you just happened to step into the fray. Thats an oddity anyhow, as it was the artefact that people liked about CloD v eg, BoX; the flight model felt more realistic. It...

Re: Tobruk "what's it like?" thread

I bought it because I haven't bought anything in a long time. I only tried it for an hour today, and I was not impressed. It's all very nice to have the African campaign, but I never liked the CoD flight model in the first place. It's feels arcadeish, and the pov distorts when you turn your head. Th...

Re: VR poll: Are you using / considering VR for sim flying?

I just ordered Rift S. I've never tried VR before, so this is a leap of faith.

Re: ACG Informal Training (North American Pilots)

There are a few mid-westerners and west coast fellas in 1st Staffel that are always up for training. As I said, the 1st usually has training after 8:00 EST on Thursday nights. I personally believe that you can't practice the fundamentals too much, and I'm always ready to work on the basics again and...

Re: ACG Informal Training (North American Pilots)

Bad luck, my girlfriend's daughter is staying for a few weeks and the guest room is attached to my studio where my setup is. It means no flight time after 8:00 pm EST for me. Any time before that I'm open. But fear not, I will have my space back soon and I will still be available to train and work o...
