Identical issue, checked for ASUS Sonic Studio and found no results.
Repaired redists and reinstalled Cliffs. Patched up to 4.312 and still same problems

It doesn't make the game unplayable, just a little annoying to spawn in.

Checked that, its off

It was a clean install, re-installed TF, I've tried the cache trick but no luck . Don't think it has anything to do with the windows magnifying text, I had a shufty and turned all that sort of crap off. Very difficult to find the right area to click to be able to spawn in multiplayer
