TECHNICAL CORNER

Post by Cougar » Mon Dec 12, 2016 10:04 am

Gentlemen,

this thread will serve as our "TEC-CORNER" from now on :nice:

before reporting a problem:
first consider your falcon bms manual, since it contains solutions for many problems for BMS in general.
for more multiplayer-related problems, consider this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hfwn-JQIqkM
for more instructional videos, see BMS VIDEO TUTORIAL section: viewtopic.php?f=129&t=7245
95% of the issues can be solved by refering to those instances!

personal note:
in the video, krause connects to the next closest server, when testing his upload speed on speetest.net. since PING can also be a variable of concern, connect to a server, that is physically close to our game server location. in our case this is the cardiff area in GB.

I have the game running and half of my controls mapped.

The issue lies in the steep learning curve and a ... somewhat lack of enthusiasm to learn said curve :)

I'm sure to learn it eventually in due time!

p.s another update? pillock!

Learning curve is the point, Jammy.
Feel free to ping me on STEAM for some training flights.

I can't seem to get my axis settings to save properly. Every time I start up the sim it seems to have either forgotten my throttle controller, or the pedals and stick aren't working. Is there a known fix for this? Key bindings and buttons are fine.

Hi chaps! Everything is set and U3 is installed alright. I have tested it with Miki this afternoon and apart from 3 deaths everything is fine... ;)

I still have to learn how to configure properly my warthog with TARGET (some switches aren't working...) and to learn to maintain my block during mission. I won't mention here my problem with start-up until I have tested it again tomorrow.

Ah yes, miki, i owe you the answer to that one

In the bms manual, there is a big section Talking about ivc, from Page 251 on.
On page 261, you find the entry you have to change in the bms config in Order to increase uhf and vhf Volume.
I currently have both on +3.
