FLIGHT TIMES & BRIEFINGS

Post by Bubi » Mon Nov 30, 2015 5:37 pm

This thread's purpose is to provide a venue to schedule and post upcoming BMS Campaign and TE missions.

Recommended format:

BRIEFING (DATE/TIME): 11.25.2015 / 11:00 GMT-8 (GMT: 19:00)
HOST: BUBI
THEATRE: KTO
MISSION GOALS: Seosan Base and defensive SAMS, Fighters
FLIGHTS: Strike, Sweep, Sead
MIN - MAX PILOTS: 6 - 12
DURATION (EST): 1.5 hours
CONNECTION RATE: 1024kbs

BRIEFING NOTES:
Mission description, weapon recommendations, threats, pictures, etc.

To pilots: responses to each mission are welcomed, just include the mission and date at top of your post
- briefing time starts on time.
- pilots expected to fly as fragged by host, rampstart, exit only if dead or upon host's assent
- Once in the 3D world, no rejoins.
- Shout out "IN" if you're reasonably sure you can make it and ""OUT" if you have to bail out

Tips&Tricks on Hosting:
1. Host can share his pre planned target data with clients before launching & connecting to BMS. These will show up in clients mission scheduling map and in the 3D world on the pilot's HSD

2. BMS allows sharing of the hosting tasks, there doesn't have to be one guy that does it all like the default mode
- Connection Host (player with best upload bandwidth) 1024 or 2048kbs per player plus 10% headroom
- Mission Host (player with fastest and most RAM PC) once joined to connection host, another player can post the TE or Camp
- IVC Host (any player with enough upload bandwidth for himself and 1-2mbs for Comms) all players input IVC Host's WAN IP into Comms connection menu.

Excellent initiative. I am eager to join in on something semi-regular in BMS. However, my schedule leading up to the holidays is all whacky, so its difficult to commit. I'll keep watching this space and keep practicing meanwhile:)

I would love to get on-board with this! Just need a little more practice and hopefully I won't flop.

With a poll, we can figure out the best fit to host a regular online campaign schedule.

Oke I live in Sweden so I have GMT +1, depending on which day.

On friday and saturday I can play almost 24h if I want :)
On Sunday I can play almost the whole day until 21:00 GMT

On all the other days I can play from 16:00 until 21 GMT.

Weekends are a real bugger for me usually but on the rare occasions that I would be available on a Saturday then the evening would be most suitable - 1900 GMT onwards.

Week nights are best for me but of course that isn't very useful to our friends over the pond.

My schedule will also rule out much BMS activity this side of Xmas.

Friday's and Saturdays for me. Usually after 3pm pacific. Sundays are rare these days.

With terror threats on the rise, my security services are even more needed, plus I completed my medical first responders certification. If you haven't heard already, we had a mass shooting by my home this week: 14 dead, 17 wounded. We of course are not calling it terrorism yet (dispite the evidence); rather our fearless leader wasted not any crises to forward his leftist agenda to disarm the law abiding of their ability to defend themselves.

I too am out of pocket from the 19th until around the New Year.

We flew it with 3 humans. Difficult, may be too much, but that's war.

So : 6 slots availables.

Free this evening 02/01 , 1930 GMT. Can't host due my connection.

Report if you want to join. TIA.
