In game I-16 model
This is my attempt to replicate the illustrious I-16 I fly in game. The markings were all painted using masks I made on a plotter cutter, the first time I've attempted that. The model is the Eduard weekend edition 1/48 kit. The Academy kit is in the background. Between the two, I like the Eduard kit. It has finer detail on some parts, i.e. exhausts and landing gear, and better rendered surface detail. The proportions also look more accurate, as the Academy kit's front fuselage looks a bit too short.

Howdy Ya'll!

That is bloody beautiful. The work I mean. Not the bean tin

Aye, a gorgeous tribute to a terrible aircraft
I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.
