Always had a soft spot for the shark mouthed Tomahawks and Warhawks of No. 112 Squadron.
Airfix's Tomahawk is meant to be the most accurate in this scale and it was nice kit to build. Lacking some detail of the Eduard and other kits I'm used to making but still a nicely detailed kit. Used a set of Eduard seatbelts as the only upgrade, rest is out of the box including the decals.
The more I looked at my Eduard desert schemed Spitfire the more I thought the colours looked a bit under saturated so for this build I used Ak real colours as a base and then sprayed a thin coat of mr color aqueous over the top to tone them down a bit. The last photo compares the two planes and I'm happy with the result tbh.
I may revisit the weathering on the top at a later date as I'm not 100% happy with it but for now it's done.

As usual it's beautiful, the feeling of colours is really personal. I prefer your P40's midstone, the Spit have been downtoned by the Mediterranean sun

I bought the Airfix P-40 kit while looking forward to the Cliffs transfer to the desert. Still in the box I am afraid. I really like the looks of yours.
Howdy Ya'll!
