Pariah's models

Post by Pariah » Tue Mar 28, 2017 4:31 pm

As a contrast to Tex's and Secu's excellent models, I thought I would post my efforts in building things of a plastic nature.

This is the first model I am trying to make since I was a kid. Airfix's 1/72 Fokker E.II Eindecker.

It's a bit shoddy but hopefully, will improve as I put it together and attempt to weather it.

She's going to be gorgeous! Can't quite believe you've been working on it since you were a kid, but then good things and all that :D

The thing about learning curves, you have to travel them. That is a great start. I started when I was about 6 years old and, despite a rather large gap after my teen years, have put more than a few models together in my time. I am still learning and still making mistakes. It does serve as an outlet for my OCD issues.
I built that same model Eindeker when I was a kid, probably the same model. You are doing great. I especially like the metal cowling.

I love it, for your weathering these WWI aircrafts had lots of oil stains under the fuselage, those engines leaked by the exhaust pipes. No doubt you will increase your skills. Patience, calm and never give up, it's a very British hobby. :salute:
An for myself today I thrown away a model...a 1/72 tank learned to fly from my window :D patience and calm are not my best qualities.

ROFL! Been there Secu - it feels good at the time, but you don't half feel a bit daft afterwards when you're picking it up :D

Of course :D
When I said never give up, I seek and found the model in my garden...and try tomorrow to fix it...before the next thrown :clown:
