Intercept the enemy aircraft they said and intercept them we did. We only brought one of the DFWs down but sometimes that's how it plays out. We lost 2nd David 'Bully' Bourne when his craft caught light at 5,000 feet. 2nd Lt Winthrop 'Azref' Willmer claims the DFW and in the end the rest made it back but crash landed due to various degrees of damage.

2nd Lt David 'Bully' Bourne - KIA
2nd Lt Winthrop 'Azref' Willmer
2nd Lt Wylie 'Nev' Ludsthorp

This time around it was an early morning escort mission. Escorting four Sopwith Strutters. We spotted them as they were heading over the lines, as we did so Secu spotted three Albatri from above. They spiralled down to face us. Tally Ho, it was on. The fighting intense as normal and it soon was dragged down to the ground. When one was left, Pariah was injured as he tried the foe away from the others. In the hopes that they would destroy it. It worked but he got hit and wounded, put down in a field near a small town.

We were joined this mission by Lieutenant Benedict 'Sharpe' Leynthall. A long patrol over enemy lines. No Germans to be seen until we had landed and then they dove on us. They must have followed us, the bastards. Only Jammy and Pariah's kites were undamaged so they took off again and fought likes dogs with the two Albatri. Both Germans eventually falling prey to the Nieuport guns.

We were joined this mission by Lieutenant Benedict 'Sharpe' Leynthall. This was an offensive mission into the heart of Hun territory. No enemy aeroplanes were seen and so only Archie tried his best to shoot us down. We took a slight detour from our planned route to take out two balloons.

This was to be the last mission of Captain Arthur 'Pariah' Job. He bravely, or stupidly dove too fast on an enemy balloon and the wings separated from the body of his Nieuport 17. He posthumously claims a balloon though that he took out before his untimely death. The mission otherwise went well with two balloons in total being taken out, but with no enemy activity.
