Not that it really matters - Billy Flopp will no doubt be dead soon :D

I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

This was a short and deadly sortie. Our patrol was cut short with two Alabtri stalking us. Soon enough they were amongst us and we had a fight on our hands. Secu got stuck into one but was not sure of any hits, meanwhile Pariah got the other streaming but not before the bastard had killed new pilot 2nd Lt Montague 'Nev' Warde. Pariah was then injured and so a tactical withdrawal was necessary. Both Pariah and Secu putting down in a field near the front lines.

Thiswas to be a deep penetration into the German side to stir up trouble. Instead Secu's eagle eyes had us chasing some rather speedy German planes. We gave up and headed home.

Intercept the enemy aircraft and No.29 did just that. Five Albatri came in and it was a deadly dance of death. Pariah hit the second Albatros that came in head on. He was dead before his plane started to descend. Jammy was climbing and rolling his Nieuport 'round whilst his craft was riddled with bullets. Unfortunately one of those bullets hit him and killed him. 2nd Lt Emmett 'Nev' Halley was twisted and turning his crate until the wings ripped off. They must have been weakened somehow. Bully was also killed in his seat and then that left Secu trying to handle four Albatri on his own.

No claims made by Secu.

Lt Archibald 'Secu' Fulmer
2nd Lt Miles 'Bully' Swan - KIA

A classic patrol and one where Jammy found himself alone with two Albatri. New Captain Charles Barkley-Manson joined the squadron but asked Lt Fulmer to lead the patrol. Jammy was rescued by the rest of 29. Bully stayed high to cover and the others got stuck in. Jammy's engine was hit. Pariah latched onto one Albatros and got in several hits. It started streaming. More hits and its port aileron fell away. It pulled straight and continued to try and get away but Pariah hit it several more times. In all, all three drums of ammo where put into it. It dove away and Captain Barkley-Manson followed it and his gun clicked empty. At that moment the Albatros' wings collapsed and it spiralled down to the ground.

Capt Charles 'Pariah' Barkley-Manson
