I always liked these kinds of photos showing the same location during and after the war. Also, interesting to see the extensive use of "extra armour" on tanks later in the war due to bigger tanks and anti-tank launchers.

This picture was taken in Belgium 1947. Guess it took a while to clean up.

It took years. My dad grew up in London in the 50s and 60s and there were bomb sites everywhere he used to play in.
