With Donkey's help just finished setting mine up and it's bloody fantasitc1!!! Highly recommend doing this if you can.
Funny how a bit of vibration at the right place can improve your experiance (pun intended).
Only thin I would like improved is a more noticable buffeting effect.

Ooh. No, but I'm sorely tempted to try.

So, I've tried this and it's promising. I use two bass-shakers to enhance the low game engine sounds which is pretty immersive. I switched them over to the Simshaker output and the direct comparison was... meh... too clean and not as immersive as the rumble you get from the game. So I switched it back. However, Simshaker gives out several effects and the most promising are G-force and buffeting. Andrey (the guy behind the software) is refining the output wave profiles, now that he's getting community feedback. So the "feel" of the effects should get better in time.
I'm going to explore placing an additional shaker on to the rudder pedals and one on the centre mount base and try to get G-force output on the rudder and buffeting on the stick.

That's pretty much what I felt - I downloaded the demo and ran it for about 20 mins. However, I could only get it to do buffeting and G-force - no guns, engine etc... So I moved back. It looks promising, but still early days.
