Right. well that's an embuggerance - it won't hook to my game at all, irrespective of what I try. Caveat emptor. I now have to decide if I want to go down the path of spending hours working out *why* :(

Note, I don't blame you at all Snowy - I fully appreciate I bought VorpX aware that there could be problems - but I am warning it may not be all plain sailing, and there doesn't appear to be a lot to do if it doesn't work from the go.

I will have more of a tinker this evening.

It certainly is not plug and play that is for sure. Is Steam giving you that message as you load Cliffs? Any problems with the steps I wrote in the first post?

Nothing. Other than the "Cliffs will launch in your HMD and on your desktop". It then launches on the desktop but not in the HMD (it stays in the 3D grid). I suspect it may be a resolution thing, I'm running 5140X1440 on the desktop, so I'll need to change the config res as my next step.

In fairness Donkey you are a bit of a Luddite. I bet those of us with an average working knowledge of the modern difference engine will have much less difficulty getting it up and running :D

I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

Right, analytical engine chucked out. Difference engine ordered on Amazon. That's bound to have been it!

I followed Snowy's instructions and got it working right away. The FOV and graphics needs some tweaking, but otherwise it works reasonable well. Thanks Snowy for posting this and the instructions.

It's not 3D as with BoX, MSFS or any other native VR game, but rather like a giant projection bubble, but it will do the job for Cliffs. The tracking seems to be fine and that has become one major part for me. I can't stand TrackIR and the owl-neck anymore and prefer the 1:1 head-tracking.

BTW, I'm on a HP Reverb G2.

That is great Thaine and you are very welcome. That is a good description of how it appears. Good to know it works in the G2.

... and, I got it working last night too! The only difference was I re-selected the Index as the HMD, maybe it didn't stick first time around.
