Re: VR for Tobruk? vorpX - do not read
Not having a go at you Snowy! Apologies if you think I was. I was directing my post at people who have suggested VorpX is a perfectly good solution for those who are not thrilled at flying a 2D sim. I think VorpX is worth trying for those who want to, and it may or may not satisfy the VR itch in CloD - but I don't think VR users should be forced to try it if they don't want to. Jaydog doesn't want to try it, and I think it's perfectly valid for him to hold that opinion *even without trying VorpX*. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Oh, and please don't take down the post - it will be a good resource for those who want to try. You certainly should not regret posting.
Re: VR for Tobruk? vorpX
OK, no problem Donkey, I'll leave it and have put a note at the bottom of the first post to make it clear I am not recommending this to anyone and for them to make their own mind up about it. I am finding it reasonably usable so thought others may like to know.

Yeah pls don't take this down Snowy. I will probably be giving this a go so this will be a good place to throw some ideas about.
Re: VR for Tobruk? vorpX
And, if you wanted to put up a "how to" here for people to try it would be even better...!
Re: VR for Tobruk? vorpX
Will do Donkey.

Re: VR for Tobruk? vorpX
Well I've bought it, I'll have a tinker when I get some time. Snowy, if you could make a step-by-step how-to guide I would really appreciate it as it doesn't appear to be massively intuitive from a quick 5 minute look. Oh, and I have an Index so whatever you do should work for me.

Watching this with motion sickness interest
I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.
Re: VR for Tobruk? vorpX
I'll up date the first post with a step by step guide Donkey and continue to up date that as we learn more.
