Marseille was the most outstanding Luftwaffe fighter pilot of the desert campaign in North Africa. I hope all will enjoy this video. The scenes in the desert were actually shot in Spanish Morocco using repainted Spanish Bf109s (Buchons) powered by Hispano engines. Marseille flew with III/Jg27 in plane number yellow 14. The flying scenes are a little cheesy but I guess it's the best they could do when the film was made in 1957. Would be a nice touch if the flying scenes could be updated using IL2 Tobruk footage in black and white.

I think his claims were a bit cheesy lol, but smart idea as a re-enactment if you want to

"the German fighter ace, who was killed in a plane crash after over 150 kills in North Africa"
I was completely lost who it might be, reading the title. :D (sarcasm) Was it from a crossword? :)

BTW, 9./JG27 logo is missing on forums. :)
