I can't imagine why it is implied the Assault Training Center had to start from scratch on attacking a heavily defended beach. The Marine Corp learned their lessons in November 1943 at Tarawa. You can't find much better lesson on do's and don'ts, of assaulting a heavily defended beach, than that fucking Hell.
