Re: The Gentlemen's Flying Club Annual Flying Extravaganza !
I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

For those that need a small reminder of the festive shenanigans that have now become an annual event here at ACG,here we go.....two cracking good videos by Messrs Bonkin and Broadsword.

Nice one Meaker
As always, everyone having their unique skin is part of the event. With regard to skinning, here's a good post of last year which features a template which will make it much easier to give your Tiger Moth that visible touch
Here's what Ginger made last year: http://www.aircombatgroup.co.uk/forum/v ... =30#p67063
The dropbox links of Ginger and Archangel from a year back are no longer working, so I host the template here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bwvx96i9y1edn ... e.jpg?dl=0
And a new link from Archangel: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e7jtzno4tyff6 ... e.jpg?dl=0
Be sure to use a program like paint.net to decrease the Kb of the file as much as possible before putting it in the DH82A folder. All having 1 Mb skins vs 100-150 Kb skins is a huge deal for the speed in which a skin will load in. It would be unfortunate if the hard work you put into it is not visible to others. In that regard, it will be a good idea also to preload your skin in the coming week into the server.
Edit:
Here's a few hints at making your own skin:
-Use the free program paint.net.
-Load in Ginger's template I put a download link to.
-Use the magic wand-tool to remove an area with a specific color corresponding to a surface.
-Paste an image into a new layer below the template and orientate and resize it as you want, or fill it up with a color you want.
-Rinse and repeat for all surfaces you want to change.
-Save it as .jpg and lessen the quality as much as you can without distorting your skin too much, to reduce the file size.
