Checking in and saying hello
Hi guys,
Just a quick post to say hello and introduce myself a bit. From north of the border, I've been combat simming online since 2013 on various platforms, so not a noob as such. Mostly been on fast jets though so there's as much un-learning to be done as there is learning for me I think lol. Anyway, being a bit of a WW2 buff, I'm big time interested in the historical value being placed on the weekly campaign flights as suggested on the website. That, along with the easy going nature of the guys on the YouTube vids has convinced me to give ACG a try if you'll have me.
I'm not green behind the ears age wise and I have all the hardware necessary to make this work. I don't join or drop out of online flight groups willy-nilly, when I commit, I commit so hopefully ACG is the place for me.
Thanks for checking me out and look forward to meeting some of you on ts very soon.
Best regards

North of which border?
Oh, and hi Textbook, and welcome to ACG
Oh, and hi Textbook, and welcome to ACG
I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

Many thanks for the warm welcome guys
Quick question. With a view to being prepared for the Sunday night flight, and hoping to fly for the allied side, should I be practicing in the Hurricane? I aspire to fly through the virtual skies in a beautiful Spitfire (I'll bet most new guys do) but I'm more than happy, and willing to work my way towards that and be fed into the meat grinder as required by the top brass.
Thanks for the help

Re: Checking in and saying hello
If you practise in either it'll be useful as they're so similar in control layout. I'd personally start with the Hurricane as it's more forgiving in that it's a steady gun platform, stays where you point it and can take an inordinate amount of punishment. If you end up in a Spittie then it's not a massive jump at all, so a few days on the Hurri and a day in the Spittie afterwards should see you fit for fodder in both
