SEOW Desert Campaign - Starting 6th October

Post by Dickie » Mon Sep 17, 2012 5:13 pm

Following further conversation with 5./JG27 we have decided to drop the co-op I wrote about last week because they wish to do something a bit better. I have agreed a SEOW campaign using HSFX Expert to be run each SATURDAY EVENING @ 8pm UK. We have nothing else at this day or time and they have a few yanks, that's why it's a weekend.

Basically we have to do nothing but turn up, fly and post a flight log. The Campaign will be from the introduction of the Afrika Korps. JG26 will join the Luftwaffe for this and face No.501 and No.64. I sincerely hope we get the interest this deserves, one you look past the ugly cockpits you will enjoy it - just ask any of the experienced chaps here who still use 1946!

Please post your interest here, I will need to know numbers otherwise I'll have to invite No.56 to help us out

Yeah I'd be interested. What do we fly? Hurricanes or P-40s?

I've heard the Expert HSFX is a bit bugged. I am in anyway.

We'll fly all sorts, I'll be getting scenarios from Farber shortly. Mixed missions too, its a feckin war son

I have been in talks with SAS HSFX about the Spit/Hurri MkI's FM's being porked, I proved it to them and he's fixing them up now - if only 1C were like that lol.

Reporting for duty!

EDIT: I've just been told, from high command, that I won't be joining the campaign this saturday. I've been "invited" to join a birthday party of sorts and if I don't want to suck sand for the rest of my life, then I'll have to drive the general to the happening.

Sucks really. This is paramount to latrine duty.

:(

Sorry chaps, I won't be making the first mission.

FIRST MISSION 6TH APRIL 1941

Post by Dickie » Wed Oct 03, 2012 4:32 pm

It STARTS 2000 UK time, For this mission the Luftwaffe have 109's, we will be in Hurricane Ib's - it's not going to be easy!!

This is a CO-OP, so you CANNOT be late. Please turn up at least 30 minutes in advance. Please also ensure that your HSFX works up for the latest version. I recommend installing the tank dust mod here: http://www.aircombatgroup.co.uk/forum/v ... ?f=6&t=109

We are definitely short on RAF pilots so we need all the bodies we can get so please make the effort. I would rather not have to fly with AI, they cannot be trusted. Guys, get involved, I promise you it'll be good practice and fun :)

One more thing, we'll be logging flight reports for this, remember those old days? A lot of fun making those up
