BoX Event Sunday 28/04

Post by LuftAsher » Fri Apr 26, 2019 2:49 pm

Hi everyone,

This Sunday we'll be running an event to keep you fine people entertained as we prepare for campaign to resume on May 5th.

If you are new to ACG or are just checking us out, please be on Teamspeak (around 1830-1900BST) if you wish to fly in the event! That way you will receive the server password and will be assigned to a squadron for the event!

This week's event will use the new Prokhorovka map, and has been made by the newest member of the Mission Building Team; Sketch. It primarily uses aircraft from the Battle of Moscow planeset and features a few interesting mission objectives for each side to accomplish. These are detailed below:

VVS Objectives:

1005 - German Oilfields
The oil fields are being bled dry for the enemy invasion forces. Destroy any and all oil derks you find in 1005 to stop the supply of fuel to the enemy.

0606 - St. Visloye Castle
The German forces are using the castle as a staging area. Destroy the supply depots, barracks, and any weapons and tanks you find there.

0307 - 16th Panzer Company
16th Panzer Company is making a push SouthEast towards the river at 307.3. Stop them before they get a chance to cross.

----------

Luftwaffe Objectives:

1005 - Medevac/Retreating Troops
Your forces have been overwhelmed in the South at 1005. Land at Mikoyanovka Airfield to load wounded troops into your Ju52. Return the wounded back to the hospital at Berezovka Airbase in 802.2. High Command wants at least three Ju52s of wounded returned. Get our troops out of there!

0408 - Vodka Factory
We have reason to believe the Russian forces are using the Vodka Factory as a fuel supply depot. It pains me to say this, but destroy the factory and any vehicles nearby.

0607 - Russian Artillery
Rocket trucks have been spotted in 0607 near the forest edge. Destroy them before they stop our forces in the North!

----------

Big thanks to Sketch for putting this one together, it looks like it will be great fun. We'll see you all on Sunday :salute:

Sounds like fun...

I must go up to the skies again, to the peace of silent flight, To the gull’s way, and the hawk’s way, and the free wings’ delight;
And all I ask is a friendly joke with a laughing fellow rover, And a large beer, and a deep sleep, when the long flight’s over.

Thanks for the mission tonight sketch. Had good fun even though I couldn't get an 88 anywhere near the target without getting my arse handed to me.

I'm not sure if anyone tried the Ju52, or if anyone owned it among us. The mission was fun. Thanks for making it Sketch

Beast of a mission! The AA around the Russian Artillery was lethal....

If not already done, would suggest this gets left on the public server mission rotation?
