First mission using vorpX went well for me. I just need to adjust my view a bit beyond 45 degrees back on each side. I have it set to a 1:1 movement if that makes sense so its smooth for me. Quite happy with it.

I had no technical difficulties. VorpX worked fine. However the resolution was rather poor. It felt like playing with 1024x768. I don't know what the actual resolution in the headset was. It was very hard to identify anything further away with that.

I played around a bit with the settings after the mission to see if I can improve it. I could make some gains, but it seems that if I increase perceived resolution I loss FOV.
I'm not sure I'll continue with VorpX and will need to do some more testing.

Further update on my vorpX experience.
I found this thread: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/68 ... or-rift-s/ There's some good info in it.

My problem was that my monitor has a recommended resolution of 1680 x 1050, and Cliffs would default to that resolution as well in my G2, even though it can run on a higher resolution. So I created a custom resolution of 2240 x 1680 in the NVIDIA Control Panel (The Description to do that is in vorpx and the thread).

So before playing Cliffs I'll switch my monitor to that resolution with also changes the resolution in Cliffs and the G2. It looks much better now.

I also downloaded a vorpX profile from the cloud that is working really well. The FOV is more restricted, instead of having a bubble over my head, it feels now as if I have a monitor in front of me that follows my head movement. But it works ok for me and I still prefer it to trackIR on a screen.
