Onebad, I think your first post was quite... bad. It's a example of unspecific criticism that doesn't help anyone and causes misunderstandings. What I interpreted out of the Ryanair reference was "your landing was cheap / low tier / or just shit".
Last time I checked sass was not illegal in these premises.

Also, to further elaborate:

Requiem advocates for an overhead break (which is fine I suppose) but he's also in final at 210-220 kph, which I see no reason for. That's almost 60 kph over the stall speed, and results in floating over the runway. That's not a problem when landing on long, concrete runways but might cause trouble if those aren't available (e.g most runways on Moscow map).

RyanAir landings
OMG!! Come out from under your bridge little Troll... I know you're scared and feel you have to lash out, but the real world isn't such a dangerous place. Get out into the sunshine, get some fresh air, meet some real people, hell, meet a real girl and have some real sex. You just might find your disposition on life will improve when you have to look real people in the eye when you spew your crap.

BTW.. I've flown Ryan air many, many times and never had a bad landing.

WTG Thaine and KG3.. Great job!

But according to Ju-88 A4 Bed.Verschr. Fl http://www.avia-it.com/act/profili_daer ... g%20FL.pdf (ref. pdf page 74) correct.
Anschwebegeschwndigkeit (take it as final speed/ speed before flaring): V_a = 200-210km/h
at strong and/ or gusty wind v_a=220km/h
touchdown speed at 11500kg 160km/h
And honestly: flying so close to stall speeds on finals can really be dangerous on windy days as the wind speed can decrease towards the ground putting you below stall speeds. And that already is neglecting entering a wind lee when the airfield is on a hill as the airfield I fly out of is. When on final on our RWY11 on a windy day you fly way faster as you gonna hit that lee causing you to drop speed already plus a couple of meters you need extra speed to compensate for.

Last but not least the 88 drops speed really fast dirtied up in three point attitude and idle engines

Adding anywhere from 5 to 20 knots onto your VREF is usually more than adequate. But carrying an extra 30 knots into the flare seems a little off.

Perhaps we do need a more controlled ATC system in campaign, you know, 160 knots to 4 DME and then down to VREF! :D

For what aircraft types/builds? And how is VREF precisely defined?
