Indeed, I thought I might try a Lawrence Olivier approach from Henry V (1944), you know, “once again into the breach etc”. Or maybe Peter Finch from Network.

Or maybe cancel the Equity Card application and just stick to ‘retired RAF Sqn Ldr’ as it requires no effort.

Nice vid sir... the families of the dead in London would like to have a word with your C.O.

They disagree with his 'Successful Mission' claim! Many women and children and pet dogs and cats snuffed it whilst you were on a tour of Essex! :D

Fritz was patting himself on the back for a successful bombing run, he was truly looking forward to that unfinished sausage in the Mess hall. Hans looked up from the observer position with a grimace. “Zee bombs are still strapped to the fuselage sir we didn’t drop!!! Suddenly Karl piped up with the helpful suggestion that Hurricanes were diving in from their high six o’clock. Fritz was having a crappy day :B:

'It takes the [Royal] Navy three years to build a ship, but it would take three hundred years to rebuild a tradition; the evacuation will continue.'
Viscount Andrew B. Cunningham's reply when it was suggested that the evacuation of Crete should be called off due to excessive losses and thus, abandoning 16,500 men to capture.
